Past Recipients of the Rotary Clubs of Naperville's Service above Self Awards

"AT HOPE" & “SERVICE ABOVE SELF” 

2018 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

 

The Rotary Club of Naperville is pleased to announce scholarship opportunities for high school seniors who are residents of the 203 or 204 School District attendance area. The primary criteria for selection are demonstrated leadership qualities, school service, and community service.

The following is a breakdown of the different scholarships available to students and payable for one year only. Click on the application form you wish to use under the name of the scholarships. 


Gene Drendel Scholarship. This $5,000 scholarship was introduced to honor Gene Drendel who was a distinguished Rotarian, a long-time and well-respected educator, and life-long resident of Naperville. This scholarship is awarded to one high school senior who demonstrates academic and athletic excellence while providing service to his or her community.


Service Above Self Scholarship. This $4,000 scholarship is awarded annually to two high school seniors who successfully demonstrate academic excellence and a substantial commitment to service.


Make a Difference North Central College Scholarship This $5,000 scholarship is awarded to a local high school senior who will be attending North Central College and has an interest in leadership, service, and displays the spirit of Rotary.  In the case of multiple qualified candidates, the scholarship may be divided between them.

At-Hope Scholarship. This $1,000 scholarship is for a high school senior who is able to demonstrate overcoming a challenge over the course of their high school career. One scholarship will be awarded for each of the five local high schools.

Late applications will not be accepted.

Note - As this form is a PDF and/or a word doc – you will be able to type your information/answers directly on it, save it and send the saved electronic copy to us at the email address below or you may type or print (in ink) all information requested and mail it to the mailing address below.  If necessary, use additional paper/add a word.doc to answer questions.  Clarity and neatness are important. Typed application preferred. Handwritten accepted.

Submissions due on TBA.  Semi-finalists will be notified by TBA.

Finalists will be honored at the annual
Scholarship Breakfast at Meson Sabika on TBA.
